Other Info Fructosyl Amine-Oxygen Oxidoreductase, or fructosyl amino acid oxidase, is an amadoriase enzyme. It catalyzes the oxidative deglycation of Amadori products (glycated low molecular weight amino acids) to yield amino acids, glucosone and H2O2. The enzyme is useful in devices engineered to detect fructosyl amino acid such as assaying for glycated serum protein or glycated hemoglobin HbA1c. Advent Bio's FAOD is a recombinant enzyme from microorganisms, chromatographically purified and suitable for determining fructosyl-L-amino acids. Advent Bio's FAOD has the following substrate specificities: Activity toward fructosyl valines (120%); fructosyl glycines (100%); fructosyl lysines (10%).
